Job Requisition ID #24WD80526Position OverviewAs an Engineering Manager, at Autodesk, you will lead a team of software engineers to translate customer needs into technical solutions. You will work independently and collaboratively with peers to ensure that solutions are built with a long-term vision and align with enterprise platform requirements. You will also provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team, driving Agile, DevOps, and Reliability practices. You will report to Senior leadership and it is a hybrid work model. You will work from Bangalore location.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software systemsUtilize your expert industry knowledge and broad understanding of multiple disciplines to create outcomes for customersFacilitate team collaboration sessions, providing technical expertise and removing technical roadblocksAdvocate for the development of innovative concepts in development, DevOps, automation, and testingEnsure the team delivers high-quality code following best practices, such as peer code reviews, code standards, unit testing, and test-driven developmentConduct code and document reviews, mentoring the team in best practicesResolve critical incidents and proactively addressing product issuesContinuously assess technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient softwareCollaborate with business and technical product owners to interpret and translate business needs into technical requirementsRecommend tools and processes to ensure and performanceTroubleshoot code-level problems quickly and efficientlyApply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problemsFocus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processesDesign and architect solutions to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable softwareContribute to risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architectureContribute to the technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resources, and quality constraintsImprove team processes and validate scope estimationsCollaborate with management and executives to build data-informed business strategy for the teamMentor and help engineers to build their career paths while also jumping into the codeSet and fulfil the engineering hiring plan for the team, including sourcing, screening, and interviewingMaintain high quality, performance and availability of services managedBuild healthy inclusive teams promoting diversityMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience10+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable, distributed applicationsExperience in one or more of the tech stacks and tools that includes AWS, Python, Java etcExperience with Serverless architectures, APIs, and AI models.Understanding of data, security, and software architecture best practices, patterns, and technologiesExperience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologiesFamiliarity with version and revision control practicesExperience with frequent and on-demand releases through the use of modern CI/CD toolsExperience working with large-scale enterprise organisationsExcellent analytical skills with a strong ability to solve problemsSolid Experience working with product management to agree on goals and risksHumble, collaborative, team player and support your colleagues#LI-PW1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
