Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Echodyne is seeking a Software Architect to help build our next generation radar. This is an exciting opportunity to jump into the cutting-edge field of mission-critical security and help shape the roadmap of one of the world’s fastest-growing C-UAS companies. We are looking for a software architect with experience building large-scale systems of hardware sensors and software connected in a distributed architecture. In this role, you will help extend the reach and impact of the physical radars using innovations in software engineering. You will be expected to apply your understanding of high-performance systems, mesh architecture, computational programming, collaboration across teams, and mentoring team members, to deliver exceptional customer value.   RESPONSIBILITIES Make strategic decisions in technology and implementation choices You are player and coach that is comfortable building and mentoring other builders Partner with engineering management, and product management to help refine high level initiatives to prioritized implementable designs Provide guidance on the pros / cons various computational algorithms / approaches Design and build solutions that are reliable, durable, and stable while effectively operating in highly critical environments   Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE 2-5 years of experience as a software architect   Proficient in ecosystem of these languages: Python, Go, C++, Rust   Experience in software and hardware life cycles   You passion is in software, but hardware systems and linear algebra does not scare you   You usually operate with a comprehensive understanding of the system you are building and comfortable solving problems that are difficult or ambiguous   Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.  WHAT WE OFFER The pay range for this position is $169,200 - $253,808 per year.
