We are looking for a Vice President of Product Management who will serve as an expert resource, to mentor and provide a center of excellence around the business. The incumbent will drive proactive action, identify business and process gaps & opportunities and recommend solutions.Duties and Responsibilities: Product Requirements - Coaches team and drives product and organization excellence.  Able to work with others to ensure documentation of clear and measurable product requirements and make trade-off recommendations between implementation and functionality. Able to review, comment, and vet product requirements and specifications to ensure the spirit and intent of market requirements have been met.  Product Delivery - Monitor the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle process from concept through implementation and release.  Collaborates with design, content, engineering, QA and operations to refine the product delivery process and delivers the highest level of quality. (For full product, or significant product features). Hold each function accountable for excellence and participate actively to drive, advise and direct on how to achieve this. Customer Research - Creates overall strategy for collecting market and product data to drive definition of product roadmap, backlog and priorities.  Maintains regular contact with customers to stay current with needs and requirements.  Drives internal program to track product analytics to inform priorities. Product Roadmap – Work with other stakeholders to defines and take accountability for product excellence, vision and roadmap, assuring development efforts are aligned with BU strategy and what is best for the customer and for Clarivate. This includes alignment and producing advisory into broader LS&H and Clarivate values, AI positioning, UX excellence, and other elements as required to best serve company, colleague and customer success. Product Strategy - Work with other stakeholders such as SVP Product Management Strategy Products, SVP Engineering Artificial Intelligence Transformation, Head of UX, Head of Marketing, Portfolio Sales and more to own and drives strategy across multiple product lines  Business Plan/Product Profitability – Assist in construction and vetting of business plans for both existing and proposed new products. Independently reviews and understands business plan in order to make proper roadmap and prioritization decisions.  Product Launch - Able to coach team in developing full launch package including pricing and product bundling options; targeted segments; competitive analysis; and providing feedback as necessary into feature/function built.  Market Requirements - Able to articulate market requirements/agile epics, brings them forward to grow product(s), and drives innovation across the portfolio. Artificial Intelligence – Support advisory to market, customers and internal stakeholders regarding the application of Artificial Intelligence to Clarivate data, products and processes. Drive successful in-product adjustments, internal communications to guide functional teams, and external communications to assist the investor, talent, and customer markets to achieve BU success. UX Excellence – It is anticipated that you will review all applicable areas required to drive UX excellence, including working with our UX team, line product managers, engineering team leaders, product marketing and more to drive a trajectory towards and then deliver excellence in UX. This may require reviewing existing and proposed design mocks, thoroughly reviewing existing products for removal of extraneous features and selecting enhancements, roadmap cleanup on applicable product lines, and advisory on correct application of Artificial Intelligence capabilities into our product lines. Ideal Qualifications: Successful zero-to-one product builder in the enterprise software space as primary Product Manager or Founder/CEO or equivalent experience. Masters’ degree in related field, plus 12 or more years relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Customer Relationship Management - (Expert) Able to manage highly complex customer questions and concerns for all products in the portfolio.  Uses effective communication and active listening skills to assess and understand customer concerns of high complexity, able to leverage resources to address concern and effectively deliver a response to the customer.  Seeks support and escalates as needed. Negotiation Skills - (Expert) Effective negotiation skills in highly complex subjects with broad scope, executes independently without direction. Effective Management of People - (Expert) Independent, strong leadership and ability to develop and communicate vision and expectations to team or functional group.  Effective management skills to lead a team of 3-15 product managers to success.
