Senior NPI Materials Program ManagerMalaysia or ChinaInfinera is looking for a highly motivated and experienced New Product Introduction materials Program Manager to drive and deliver proto materials as well as ensuring successful launches with cross functional teams.  The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous development environment, have a great sense of urgency, keen on making process and cost improvements, can identify critical paths, come up with creative solutions while coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously to ensure successful product launches.  This position will work with contract manufacturers, and suppliers to deliver products in time to meet aggressive development schedules and launch milestones.ResponsibilitiesOwner for NPI program proto materials deliverables as well as production launch materials readinessBuild collaborative relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders; lead teams to reach common goals and achieve project timelinesReport materials status to NPI Program managers, core teams and senior managementDrive build readiness and avoid/resolve materials shortages, issuesIdentify component costs and lead time risks, risks mitigation, management and communications, know when to escalatePlace POs timely and check for shortages or excess based on build plan changesEnsure smooth transition from NPI to production buyers and cross functional teamsContinuously identify improvement opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, improve efficiencies, reduce cost and lead times, frame business cases, and influence decision makersQualifications:5+ years of experience in program management or project management, preferably in supply chain or operationsBachelor’s degree or higherAbility to use SAP to create purchase ordersAbility to work with culturally diverse and geographically distributed teamsAbility to manage multiple projects successfully at the same timeKnowledge of supply chain and operations roles and responsibilities in NPI gate reviews and product lifecycle managementKnowledge of manufacturing BOMs, ECO, MCO, DEV, Agile life cycle management toolProven analytical capabilities, and using data to provide insights and solutionsEnjoys problem solving and process improvementsProven ability to be flexible, resourceful, adaptable, take initiatives and thrive in ever changing ambiguous environmentExpert user of MS project, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI dashboardsExcellent written and verbal English communication and negotiation skillsAbility to speak fluent Mandarin a plusKnowledge of manufacturing and test process for telecommunication or high-tech equipment a plusExperience in Six Sigma, SCRUM project management methodologies and real-life implementations a plusAPICS or PMP certification a plus; Demand and Supply Planning experience a plus#LI-GA1#LI-Remote“This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as “Export-Controlled Information”) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
