The delivery of our suite of products starts with the successful deployment of hardware this role is responsible for.This role is responsible for the day-to-day intake and movement of server and network hardware into and out of, the Data Center as well as performing trouble-shooting and break-fix tasks.Your day-to-dayRacking and mounting hardware within designated racks- 65+ poundsCabling racked hardware to network and security equipmentProvisioning hardware and entering equipment into a Configuration Management Tool and updating inventory Rack ElevationsDecommission hardware and perform eWaste/recycling operationsOn-going troubleshooting and break-fix tasksCapacity planning for intake and placement of devicesPerform shipping and receiving activitiesAsset and spares managementWhat you bring to the team​Network certification and or prior experience with network devices and network concepts​Understanding of Data Center power distribution and Data Center architectures & concepts Curiosity and the desire to learnSelf-motivation and strong team player mentalityWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
