The Distinguished engineer will be responsible for leading the technical direction for those large scale services and help us operate those services continuously.  Key Responsibilities:Act as the principal authority on technical decisions across DataRobot.Serve as a key technical advisor to various stakeholders, providing actionable, hands-on guidance to business leaders on complex technical challenges.Anticipate and identify emerging industry challenges that could impact customersTackle unique and complex problems, proposing and implementing innovative solutions that draw on decades of scientific research and sound business judgment.Bridge the gap between industry advancements and practical application, ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge knowledge into product development.Advise on major product launches with an emphasis on customer focused innovation, impacting the entire company.Champion and lead one or more key strategic areas such as Distributed services, Machine Learning, Data, or Operations.Build scalable systems and services by anticipating future challenges and driving industry best practices while applying groundbreaking technology.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Command of scale, architectural patterns and running large AI cloud services. Command of the foundational scientific python ecosystem (pytorch, numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn)Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in a simplified mannerSoftware design and peer code review skills, including leading othersPassion for research and innovation, both through individual projects and knowledge sharing with internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or related field10-12+ years of Object oriented programming, such as Java/C++ Experience with building & designing SAAS/PAASExperience as a technical leader capable of leading a team from idea to completionExperience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributorThe talent and dedication of our employees are at the core of DataRobot’s journey to be an iconic company.
