Our design team members make sure we understand our customers' needs and workflows to create experiences that support business by helping customers achieve their goals.As a Senior Experience Designer at Autodesk, you will work as part of cross-disciplinary teams to enable Engineers to solve some of the most complex problems of the world. The software you build will help users design, model, fabricate, and eventually build the structural systems that support roads and highways, railways, bridges and tunnels, and water systems of the future.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Experience Design, you will focus on creating compelling and innovative user experience solutions for our Civil Infrastructure products that provide both high customer value and align with the company’s strategic direction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and deliver user-centric products and services.Responsibilities Lead the design of intuitive and engaging user interfaces for a variety of digital productsCollaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into design solutionsConduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and evaluate design decisionsUse customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisionsWork with and participate in scrum team processes, working iteratively to deliver customer valueMaintain familiarity with Civil 3D, InfraWorks, ReCap, and other Autodesk software to ensure compatibility with capabilities and services shared across our portfolioWork with a team of peer designers to help expand the positive impact of the experience design discipline at the team and company levelsMentor junior designers and contribute to the development of the design team’s skills and processesEnsure consistency in design language and adherence to design system guidelines across all platformsMinimum Qualifications4+ years of experience doing UX/XD, HCI, or interaction designA strong portfolio demonstrating a user-centered design approach and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to collaborate with development teams and product managers to deliver usable and desired value to customersAbility to manage multiple tasks and set priorities with direction and/or feedback from stakeholders and teammatesExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Mural, Miro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, or similarPassion for growing skills in research, experimentation, brainstorming, conceptualization, prototyping, iteration, and testingUp-to-date expertise in human-centered design best practices including user research methods such as user interviews and usability testingAbility to solve complex problems and drive projects from concept to implementationExperience with agile/scrum/lean design and development processesPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or above in design, human-computer interaction, or a related fieldKnowledge of Architecture, Construction, and Engineering workflows, particularly those related to Civil EngineeringKnowledge of creating cloud-based service experiences, including resiliency best practicesKnowledge of Autodesk software or equivalent softwareDemonstrated ability to use customer research and feedback as the basis for design decisionsKnowledge of applying computational strategies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to the product design processLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
