We create the Informatics ecosystem that define the genomics industry to provide the best user experience for scientists, researchers, and healthcare professional.  We use the latest SW technology such as .NET Core, Restful APIs, MicroServices Architecture, Cloud Computing on AWS in our new product development.The DevOps team is responsible for optimizing the deployment and management of Illumina’s global Cloud-based informatics assets. We also provide front-line development and operational support of these assetsYou will be working on various cutting-edge DevOps tools and technologies managing Cloud-based enterprise applications such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Public/Private Cloud, , Kubernetes, docker etc. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a part of the team that provides breakthrough genomic informatics solutions worldwide to enable the transformation of human health through DNA sequencing.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDesigning and orchestrating the provisioning, installation, dynamic configuration, monitoring and maintenance of services in the cloud environmentAutomation work to eliminate the need for manual updates and direct interventionWork in a collaborative environment with multiple organizations across time zonesUsing monitoring systems to detect service and security issues and diagnose/fix service performance to achieve the highest levels of system availability, performance, and securityTroubleshooting and creating tools to resolve incidents and work to ensure that service level commitments are achieved•Enforce Intellectual property protections, defend against threats, enforce regulatory and compliance procedures, and support security auditsMigration of legacy on-premise systems into cloudDocument personal plans, methods, implementations, and/or changesEmbrace new ideas that produce outstanding results for our customers through collaborationListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Position Requirements:A rigorous approach to problem-solvingA strong preference for collaborative teamworkThe ability to pick up new technologies quickly and rapidly deep diveExperience with production SAAS cloud hosted environments and understands the core concepts of Internet protocolsExperience in AWS or other public cloud-based deployment and supportProgramming/Language skills –bash scripting, Python, GO, SQL, NoSQL, log query languages, or relatedAbility to administer, configure, optimize and monitor services and/or infrastructure at scale.
