Apple’s Vision Products Group is looking for a highly motivated full-stack software engineer to develop internal tools and services for a wide range of critical product technology teams. Our team provides a key function in shaping the success of Apple’s current and future products, and help deliver exciting new software features while maintaining Apple’s world class quality. Description Description VPG tools engineers are responsible for empowering engineers with tools that help automate software development workflows across the organization. In addition, you will work with our team to create and maintain tools and services supporting a set of diverse teams across the fields of Software Engineering and Integration, Product Management, Quality Assurance and Performance. The responsibilities of the job include: - Contributing to and building UX vision and strategy for internal tools and services. - Designing, developing, testing, and managing web front end applications and REST APIs. - Finding opportunities to improve and automate workflows for multi-disciplinary teams at Apple. - Prototyping new tools and demonstrating their value to the organization. - Collaborating with teams across Apple to leverage and extend existing tools. - Writing new tools in concise and easy to understand code. - Continually assessing and improving performance and security. - Investigating and resolving issues in a timely manner. - Setting up automated integration, testing and deployment. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - Strong analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Consistent record of being proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. - A strong desire to understand customer needs and create great user experiences. - Skilled in creating sketches, wireframes, and UI mockups using modern design and prototyping tools. - Experience with modern microservice based designs, container technologies such as docker and automated deployments. - Experience with web development stacks such as Angular, Flask, Node, Pyramid, Django, Jinja2, Bootstrap etc.. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, Ruby or Bash. - Proficiency in Git, REST API’s, SQL and NoSQL databases. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $58.61 and $88.29/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
