Partner Engineers work at the forefront of Apple Payʼs future with external companies, with whom Apple Pay may partner to bring services to our customers. This will be accomplished by closely working with external partners' engineering teams (e.g. developers, quality, performance, SRE) and an in-depth knowledge of Apple Pay iOS and Server systems. Partner Engineer's also stride with the excellence of developing the Partner Experience with rich technical documentation, sample code and a complete partner reference implementation. This helps partners achieve the excellence required to integrate with Apple Pay services.
An Apple Pay Partner Engineer also works across the internal engineering organization to represent the external partners, identifying and addressing gaps and opportunities within Apple. A successful Partner Engineer will build pipeline of capable engineering partnerships that enables Apple Pay to continue a rapid growth in functionality and availability.
Join us on this journey and help us leave the world better than we found it! Description Description We are looking for engineers, architects with a high level of technical skill and experience crafting, building and running diverse product lines and types of infrastructure at scale.
Design API specifications and protocols to tackle novel problems.
Work closely with internal engineering teams, server and iOS on feature definition and development.
Work with internal technical document writer to develop rich developer documentation for new Wallet features.
Develop and implement Web Services/REST APIs defined in Apple Pay server & Wallet specifications.
Work closely with the engineers, architects as well as executives at 3rd party companies that design, build and run their services.
Cultivate successful engagements to establish a pipeline of well qualified and capable 3rd parties for the rest of the engineering function to integrate, test and launch with, without delay.
Be the voice of the future 3rd parties, as new products and services are invented and architected inside of Apple Pay. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Prior work experience architecting, implementing or running large scale customer facing services. Experience with programming languages and frameworks like Java, Go, NodeJS, Javascript, Python. Experience authoring and supporting web services/REST APIs. Experience with Relational, NoSQL Databases. Experience in developing scalable and distributed systems. Experience/understanding of security and cryptography (not mandatory). This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,909 and $214,500 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
