We are looking for a solution consultant to join our intellectual property (IP) solution consulting team in Tokyo, Japan. We are a team of product experts/consultants responsible for growing revenue from both existing and new customers. We are working closely with sales and marketing team, to support and lead the sales cases and marketing activities. The position needs to be deeply understanding customer needs of IP, effectively presenting the value proposition of our IP Solutions, increasing the trust of customer/prospect, communicating with all related internal teams as well. This position is particularly started with the focus on IP management solutions/systems (IPMS), which is the fast-growing business recently. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Over 4-year college education, better with background on science & technology, or equivalent (Necessary)Either 3 + years of work experience in IP related position in corporate of law firms. Understanding and abilities of grasping the essence of Intellectual property (IP) system itself.Native Japanese level to handle the client facing works and deep involvement in the sales cases.Good interpersonal communication skills and ability (incl. English & Japanese) to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.IT/System literacy level of average or above. The experience of using customer relationship management system (e.g. SalesForce) will be highly evaluated)Strong mindset & ability of proactive planning, problem identifying/Shooting, task prioritizing among multi-projects, action taking with a complex schedule management.It would be great if you also had . . . What will you be doing in this role? Well support/lead the current project/sales cases to meet the client’s needs, aiming to higher sales cases close in Japan market.To be a reliable local experts of IP management system (e.g. IPFolio) and build the trust to both clients and sales.Communicate well with the clients and internal stakeholders of related teams to achieve the goal.Work with marketing team to prepare a local product marketing message, events, seminars for the responsible solutions for targeting customer segments, contribute to creating opportunities in the market with sales support materials. With a mindset of aiming to be a thought leader in the market.Learn and understand the value proposition of Clarivate’s products and solutions broadly.Needs to have positive attitude to learn and understand market trends, competitions, and changes around IP policy environment and technologies trend, incl. such as AI, IP DX, based on both Clarivate and Clients’ angles.Collect the needs and feedback from the market, report and communicate the issues/examples to product teams. e.g. interview the customers to get feedback, flexibly considering about the business model incl. local partnership.Have positive attitude to learn and understand the market and clients, proactively explore more new IP solutions fitted for the local market opportunities through the current the project(s). Contribute on achieving Clarivate IP business target (New Business & Revenue) in Japan & APAC. Work as a Clarivate team player with other members/teams with insights and mindset to the overall business. About the Team Clarivate Intellectual Property (IP) solution consultant team is an expert group responsible for revenue growth generated from both existing and new businesses of Clarivate IP, by working closely with the sales team and other related internal teams on Clarivate commercial offerings related to IP, to support/lead sales cases to achieve the overall target. Currently, one of the quickly growing businesses in Japan is Clarivate IP management system.
