As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.In this position, you will be joining a team of Mechanical Engineers responsible for designing world class professional audio products.  The team seeks Mandarin speaking individuals who are detail oriented, naturally inquisitive, and driven to create great products.What You’ll Do:The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a key contributing supporter of the ME Technical Lead.  In this role, you will:Own design and architecture of complex product parts/subassemblies, and potentially lead low complexity projects.Work in a team environmentCollaborate cross-functionally with Industrial Design, Electrical, Antenna/Radio, Audio/Acoustics, and other engineering teams as well as external development partners.Use engineering structural, thermal and tolerance analysis skills to ensure quality of deliverables.Visit vendors and CMs as needed to support your project and teammates.Qualifications:Required:5+ years experience in mechanical design and significant experience designing for mass production.Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degreeExperience collaborating cross-functionally with Industrial Design, Electrical, and other engineering groupsExperience in material selection and design for plastic, metal and elastomeric partsSolid understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, die-casting, stamping, thermoforming, machining, finishing (e.g. paint, pad print, silkscreen), etc.Experience building and managing BOMsStrong 3D modeling skillsExperience employing GD&T principles and nomenclatureExperience with 2D spec generation and/or ability to guide draftsperson in this workWilling to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 15-25%Nice to have:Experience with Siemens NXExperience with FloEFD and/or ANSYSExperience designing for the professional audio marketExperience working with overseas design partnerYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
