Laboratory Assistant - TAP

We seek a highly motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our Technology Access Program (TAP) team.  A qualified candidate is responsible for sample management, shipping customer samples, receiving incoming material, counting and inventorying laboratory reagents and scheduling instruments. This position is reporting to the TAP Manager and will be onsite full time in Fremont, CA. This is a full time temporary role, with the potential of conversion after 3 months.  Duties and Responsibilities Receive biological samples from TAP customers and maintain documentation and communications related to sample management. Ship reagents and samples to customers, work with the Shipping team to process shipping labels and prepare necessary customs documentation for global shipments. Lead reagent inventory management and counting on a weekly basis. Assist the assay team with scheduling instruments, assay set-up and day-to-day laboratory management. Assist in other tasks as needed to keep up with the accelerated and dynamic pace of TAP projects every quarter. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with 4+ years’ experience in laboratory setting; or Bachelors with 0-1 years of experience Experience working with biological samples Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and juggle different priorities and tight schedules Experience working in ISO 13485 and GMP environment a plus Experience working with major shippers: FedEx, UPS and DHL a plus Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Available to work Monday–Friday (9am to 6pm) Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds The hourly range for this full-time temporary position is $25 - $30 per hour + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted
