Protection Starts with People. Proofpoint. Job Description: Proofpoint is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. Our engineering team is dynamic, fluid, and collaborative. We look for team-players who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and have an appetite to work with and adopt new and innovative technologies. YOU WILL: ·Design applications and systems. Create a variety of models and diagrams showing programmers the software code requirements. ·Design and implement components of Proofpoint’s big data processing and analytics platform using modern technologies, to handle billions of data points. ·Develop RESTful APIs in a micro-service architecture.·Bring fresh and creative ideas to large-scale system design, distributed computing.YOU HAVE ·Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field. ·Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. ·Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar). ·Experience implementing RESTful APIs, common frameworks, and SDKs in a micro-service architecture.·Knowledge/strong experience with some of the following: NodeJS, Python, Java, Golang, C/C++ and an ability to pick up new technologies quickly.·Design and implementation of components of data processing and analytics platform·Strong knowledge of NoSQL and SQL database technologies such as: Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis, DynamoDB. ·Source control management, coding standards, code review, and build processes. ·Front end technologies such as Angular and React.Why ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.
