We are poised to become one of the largest green hydrogen generation companies in the world.Position SummaryAs the EMEA Financial Shared Services (FSS) EMEA Payroll Manager, you will oversee and manage the payroll processing for international employees within our fast-paced, high-growth organization. We are seeking an ideal candidate who possesses exceptional leadership skills, a positive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail. Regular collaboration with various departments, including Human Resources, will be a crucial aspect of the role. We expect the successful candidate to be service-oriented, thrive in high-volume responsibilities, and take pride in delivering accurate and thorough work. Professional interaction with all Plug Power employees is expected, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate care and discretion when handling sensitive payroll and personal data.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day payroll operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly payrolls in a high growth, fast-paced organizationReview and approve international payrolls for accuracyIdentify area of improvements and efficiencies by partnering closely with the Shared Services, Human Resources and other internal stakeholders to establish best practices for EMEA payrollEnsure compliance with all corporate and country-specific policies and proceduresDrive process standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and effectivenessManage all stock compensation from tracking to disbursement.Act as point of escalation and work to identify, track, document, and resolve errors, issues and risks proactively with timely further escalation of unresolved items to senior managementEnsures payroll processes are administered in compliance with SOX requirements, internal company policies as well as applicable country, federal and state regulations or legislation, including applicable wage and hour regulationsProject lead for payroll related projects, including continuous development of processes that are scalable and support the company's growthAdditional responsibilities include project management of EMEA payroll service implementations, coordination with teams to integrate payroll systems with other upstream and downstream systems, and leading or participating in other EMEA initiativesRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or other relevant field7+ years of payroll experience with at least 3 years of overseeing a EMEA Payroll functionExperience working in an organization with numerous locations and a remote workforce is highly preferredExtensive understanding of stock and equity disbursement and related tax implicationsExtensive knowledge in Payroll & Accounting procedures and Payroll Tax Laws & RegulationsExperience with Workday payroll software strongly preferredComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookSelf-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced growing environmentStrong project management and process improvement capabilitiesExceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritizeDemonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentialityDynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail and results orientation are required.Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-throughPlug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
