As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will ensure quality assurance processes are followed, and that product meets all requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is innovative and motivated. To be successful in this role, you must possess a deep understanding of software development life cycle, have extensive experience in manual and automated testing and knowledge of agile approaches. You will be a key technical contributor to our QA team, responsible for implementation and execution of automated test suites, testing new features, identifying risks and raising them to stakeholders in a timely manner.Qualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of experience building or improving test automation frameworksExperience in building test suites using frameworks such as Perl, Ruby, Selenium for UI, Backend and API testing to write integration , and end to end tests.Familiarity with bug reporting systems like JIRAExcellent communication skills, attention to detail and passion to be the voice of customer experienceSelf-Starter, Self-Driven, detail oriented and ability to work cross functionally with other teams to coordinate testing efforts.Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experienceResponsibilities:Have a good understanding of the product requirement and design of the solution.Ability to work in agile, small team environment with focus on speed and quality under tough timelinesOwn features through inception, design feedback, implementation, and launchDevelop test strategies, execute tests including manual and automation testingBuild test-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, bug reports for new features and improvising on existing test plans for feature updates and customer feedbackCollaborate cross functionally to reproduce and resolve issuesPromote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practicesNice to have:Experience with Container Orchestration, CI/CD toolsExperience with KVM/Esxi Virtualization, KVM Server ManagementWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
