Build software solutions using a strong background in large-scale web applications. Work in an agile environment with a focus on problemsolving and software engineering excellence. Design new and optimized product features to enable email/chat communications between eBay users across global sites. Ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards and improving build and test systems. Estimate engineering efforts, plan execution cycles, and rollout system changes. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings. Work with other engineers, architecture, product management, quality assurance, and operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs concerning functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development principles and product goals.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.Special Skill Requirements: 1. Design and build highly scalable back-end systems and distributed services7. Agile development methodologies Base salary:  $155,418-205,700 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
