Job Requisition ID #24WD80749Responsibilities:Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team or teams responsible for creating and enhancing the experience and functionality of user interfaces for firm products, including websites, software, hardware and tools. Leads the development of methodologies, tools and practices for researching, aggregating and analyzing data on design trends, consumer and user markets and marketing and brand insights to develop user profiles and design standards.Manage a team of product designers who are responsible for designing user experiences for mobile and web applications. Improve design team delivery, quality, and speed through operational improvements. Run design interviews, hiring process, and onboarding new employees. Understand and translate business and customer needs into the product. Organize and run design critique and collaboration sessions. Work with product, engineering, and stakeholders to define design roadmap and delivery plan. Be a public-facing member of the design team, speaking at events and generating positive PR for the company. Align Design System, Information Architecture and Platform Capability efforts with critical business KPIs. Coach product designers on appropriate design patterns to deal with difficult technical tradeoffs such as error handling, resiliency and scalability concerns. Analyze and recommend design team capacity adjustments to adequately compliment product and engineering efforts. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.Minimum education/experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, User Experience Design, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a UI/UX designer-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.Skill Requirements: Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:Run design interviews, hiring process, and onboard new employees using technologies such as Workday, Lattice and Confluence.Utilize previous experience as well as technologies such as Figma, Sketch, LucidChart and Mural to coach designers on appropriate design patterns to deal with difficult technical tradeoffs such as error handling, resiliency and scalability concerns.Review product and engineering requirements using tools such as Jira and recommend design team capacity adjustments to adequately staff projects.Position also requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:Gather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research data using technologies such as Amplitude, Looker, Dovetail and other similar platforms to create user profiles, user insight reports and usability ratings.Improve design team delivery, quality, and speed through operational improvements, facilitated through technologies such as Jira, Mural, FigJam, Confluence and other similar platforms.Use technologies such as Sketch, Figma, Framer and other prototyping technologies to translate business and customer needs into the product features and user experience.Collaborate with parallel stakeholders in product and engineering disciplines to define design roadmap and delivery plan using technologies such as Jira, Confluence and AirTable.Learn More About Autodesk Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $274,206 - $283,200/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
