Discover how we are transforming modern data-driven applications at  www.asteralabs.com .   We are seeking a Senior CI/CD Engineer with expertise in both hardware and software systems firmware development. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of firmware across our product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, automation, and a deep understanding of firmware development methodologies. Responsibilities Design and implement new CI/CD pipelines tailored for firmware development and deployment. Re-use existing CI/CD pipelines to optimize, enhance and integrate additional system validation features Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate build, test, and deployment processes for systems involving both hardware and software. Increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the pipelines for continuous improvement of development practices. Ensure team adherence to best practices in version control, code review, and release management processes. Develop original scripts and automation tools catered to Asteralabs methodologies to streamline integration and deployment tasks. Conduct regular performance monitoring and optimization of CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot issues related to build failures, environment configurations, and integration specific bugs. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices within the organization. Basic Qualifications Strong academic and technical background in electrical or computer engineering. At minimum, a Bachelor’s is required, and a Master’s is preferred. ≥5 years of experience supporting CI/CD pipeline development and management within a firmware or embedded systems environment. Professional attitude with the ability to prioritize a dynamic list of multiple tasks, to plan and prepare for customer/internal meetings in advance, and to work with minimal guidance and supervision. Entrepreneurial, open-mind behavior and can-do attitude. Think and act with the customer in mind! Required Qualifications  Strong understanding of firmware development processes, tools, and version control systems (Git, Cross compiler tool chains, Linux and Windows environments). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, or Shell scripting for automation. Hands-on experience with build tools (such as Jenkins, Travis CI). Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS, Azure). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and with external customers. The base salary range is $140,000.00 USD – $200,000.00 USD.
