Description Description We’re looking for a Senior FullStack Software Engineer with expertise in Node.js, React, Typescript, Javascript, and PostgreSQL. You will architect, develop and ship features with your multi-functional product and UX partners, as well as your fellow software engineers. You will also be expected to participate in the feature design process with our lean and dedicated team, drive new functionality, contribute to architectural and performance improvements, and overall bring your best every day to our team.
User engagement, feature ideas, roadmap planning, and technical discussions are very much a team sport in our organization, and we want you to come with opinions, standard processes, and excellent ideas.
In this role you will:
Plan, develop, and ship new features alongside UX, product, and your fellow developers and designers, as well as users and partners
Write maintainable application code across the tech stack - from frontend, to API, to data layer - with excellent attention to detail, testing and documentation
Review code and collaborate on pull requests with your teammates
Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks that affect user workflows
Collaborate constantly with users, multi-functional teams, team members, leadership, and partners to move projects along, gain clarity, and be able to ship the best possible experience and solution
Constantly learn and improve your own technical skills by reading code, documentation, running experiments and talking to your colleagues
Own features and solutions across the tech stack, from concept/RFC/ideation to shipping them to production, iterating, and maintaining them long-term
Hold yourself and your team members accountable to the high standards of design, quality, and execution that exist at Apple Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 10+ years experience working across the entire web stack with a skilled team, with expertise in Node.js and Typescript/Javascript Experience building robust HTTP APIs and backend services Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience building fabulous and beautiful user experiences using React or other Javascript frontend frameworks Proactive, get-it-done demeanor, and motivation that drives you to continually grow and challenge yourself A strong passion to produce high quality software that is valuable, usable, and fabulous for users Experience and eagerness with modern web development best practices such as testing, pair programming, code reviews, continuous integration & delivery, an iterative approach to development, and continuous improvement / retrospectives A collaborative, team-first demeanor: you must be an exceptional collaborator with your fellow software engineers, and your multi-functional UX and product team members Confirmed experience working with a customer-first approach, collaborating constantly with UX, product, and partners to solve our users’ problems every day Excellent communication skills and the confirmed ability to express technical ideas, guide and mentor other software engineers around you, but also communicate well with non-technical team members Excellent at iterative development including strong prototyping / spiking skills Experience building and scaling sophisticated applications using SQL Manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics experience, interest, or exposure is a plus, but not required Education & Experience Education & Experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
