We are currently in beta stage, and have held a number of livestream commerce events with select eBay sellers in the last few months. As this initiative expands, we are looking for an experienced Live Operations Specialist who can join this exciting program and play a pivotal role in driving scale and success. This role will support livestreaming operations in a fast-evolving operations environment!Visit https://www.ebay.com/ebaylive/ for sampling past events and to see what’s coming up next!What you will accomplish: Livestream events planning & seller guidanceSupport sellers in planning and promoting their livestreams, both before and after the eventActively manage event calendars with sellers and eBay x-functional teams, which includes -Providing feedback to sellers on event density, event formats, new use cases and guidance on how to run successful events on eBaySupport event planning, programming, production & execution of new event formatsSupport livestream event production:Support priority livestream events in-person (requires travel) with event curation, programming, and seller communicationManage technical setup for live streams, including hardware equipment, software configuration, lighting adjustments, and other foundational technical aspectsOperations playbook and automation:Develop and implement operations processes to support livestream commerce on eBayDevelop best-in-class practices around livestreaming in host, programming and production setup (including tools)Seller onboarding: Own and support seller onboarding process, including vetting the seller applications and introducing new sellers and businesses to livestreaming on eBayExternal communications to sellers:Support ongoing communications to sellers who engage with eBay Live events - this will include delivering on existing communications protocols and supporting workflow automation as the initiative scales Drive user engagement and growth by executing specific engagement tactics, such as social content / event clippings, supporting any exclusive seller / influencer relationships with eBay etc. Drive trust and operations safety on live streamsWork closely with the legal, analytics, product and operations teams to develop and implement policies and processes that help protect buyers and sellers.Investigate reports of abuse, fraud and any inappropriate behavior on live streams, and take appropriate action to address the situation as per approved operating procedures.What you will bring: Strong experience in tech operations, preferably at a commerce marketplace or in social commerce. Streaming experience on platforms like Youtube, Facebook live, Twitch etc. preferredExperience with broadcast software to produce livestream/broadcast events inducing display graphics, bringing in remote camera feeds, and mixing audioPrior experience in creating and implementing operations processes with high customer empathyStrong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to multitask and a bias for actionTravel required up to 30%The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$88,000 - $137,500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
