Job Requisition ID #24WD79828Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic team focused on creating innovative data solutions to support AI/ML applications. You have a background in Architecting, designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI/ML-driven products.We are looking for hands-on technical expertise taking designs from proof of concept to full web-scale production.You will report to the Senior Manager, Technical Consulting.This role is hybrid - you can use our office spaces but are not required to come in a specific number of days per week. You may occasionally attend an office-based meeting or workshop.Responsibilities:Stay informed about technology trends affecting our customersArchitect scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI/ML solutionsMentor developers and 3rd party consultantsConduct workshops with key stakeholders to understand customer's challenges and gather requirementsAnalyse gaps between requirements and product and platform capabilitiesDefine Solution Architectures (Business, Application, Technology) that drive desired outcomesValidate architectures feasibility (can include Proof of Concept development)Collaborate with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutionsImplement data collection, transformation, and storage processes to support machine learning models and AI applicationsImprove data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliabilityEnsure data quality, consistency, and availability across multiple data sources and systemsMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure seamless operation and minimal downtimeWork with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS / Azure) to deploy and manage data solutions at scaleDevelop documentation for data pipelines, processes, and infrastructureStay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and AIMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable data solutions5+ years of above in a technical leadership role; oversee large-scale implementationExperience taking data solutions from proof of concept to full web-scale productionExperience in Architecting complex data platformsProgramming skills in languages such as C#, Java, R or PythonExperience integrating and optimizing data solutions using technologies like Pinecone (or other vector databases) for AI applicationsProficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, GCP BigQuery)Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing conceptsExperience with machine learning and AI principlesProficiency in Oral and Written EnglishThis technical leadership role also includes managerial responsibilitiesExperience working with stakeholders and customers in other parts of Europe and AmericasNo Travel restrictions to Americas/Europe/AsiaPreferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Airflow)Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, HDFS)Knowledge of ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch be advantageousKnowledge of data governance and security best practicesAny of the following Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).Any of the following certifications: TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL, AWS solution architect, Azure solution architectExperience working in an Agile development environmentExperience in Architecture, Engineering and Construction or Manufacturing Industry solutionsFamiliarity with the concept of data architecture as a composition of models, policies, rules or standards that govern which data is collected#LI-FB1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
