Opportunity Overview: Reporting to  the Senior Director, People Business Partnerships, the Employee Relations Manager will support the People Business Partners by leading routine employee relations processes and investigations through to conclusion. The Employee Relations Manager will formulate and recommend employee relations procedures in all areas of employee relations, follow and promote employee relations best practices, and further assist with the execution of annual processes and initiatives across the People Business Partnership Team.  Last but not least: People who succeed here are empathetic teammates who are candid, kind, caring, and embody our core values and principles . What you will do: Conduct confidential, objective, and thorough employee related  investigations in a timely and neutral manner to gather facts, identify root-cause, assess policy or other violations, and provide recommendations for corrective or disciplinary action Create appropriate, high quality reports of the findings, present findings, and make recommendations to address root cause issues Determine need to involve legal team, following set guidelines, independent judgment, and/or counsel with Senior Director, People Business Partnership Work to implement positive and efficient processes that are compliant and demonstrate integrity in approaches to employee relations investigations Create, coordinate and deliver training programs to educate managers and employees on employee relations policies and processes Develop and update company policies and SOP’s related to employee relations topics Respond to and evaluate employee relations inquiries with a high level of customer focus and sensitivity, following best practice guidelines Provide coaching and assistance to the managers & employees regarding policies and company practices Tactfully mediate disputes, using de-escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional situations Partner with People Business Partners and Managers to develop action plans to address issues Prepare narrative and statistical reports and make recommendations for preventing or reducing employee relations issues Implement strategic solutions and work with management on programs to increase retention, engagement, and morale Ad Hoc projects as assigned Your background & requirements: 4+ years of professional experience specifically working in an Employee Relations capacity, required Experience working with a call center/contact center environment preferred or a heavily populated non-exempt workforce, required Experience working in a healthcare/health tech/software tech company preferred  Experience with Google Suite, strongly preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with impeccable attention to detail Analytical skills Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning employee relations Working knowledge of legal requirements associated with day-to-day people management Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions Ability to see projects to completion with limited supervision and a keen sense of urgency Ability to act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism and maintain confidentiality Adaptability and resilience in managing changing priorities and demands Must be based in either EST or CST time zone  We can’t wait to learn more about you and meet you at Cohere Health! The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
