Vacuum Technician:                                                                                                                      Position Summary:The Vacuum Technician is responsible for the setup, installation, monitoring and maintenance of various vacuum pumps and leak detectors on cryogenic vessels to achieve high vacuum.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe able to setup vacuum pumpsInstall vacuum pumps to cryogenic vesselsRecord vacuum readings in an accurate and timely mannerSet up and use a leak detectorBe able to diagnose and identify leaks on vacuum systemsEducation and ExperienceShould have close attention to detailShould know how to use vacuum reading equipmentExperience as a Vacuum TechnicianExperience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, grinders, hand wrenches etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and proceduresKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
