Job Requisition ID #24WD80064Position OverviewThe Content Experience Designer at Autodesk is responsible for crafting engaging content for our customers and creating in-product experiences that promote customer knowledge and skill development. Content may include:user interface labels and stringsin-product messagingin-product learning experiencescustomer-facing online helptutorialsThis role is in the Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) organization, which delivers products, such as Fusion and Inventor, that help our customers working in design and manufacturing industries be successful.You will work with a team of experienced content and UX designers, alongside stakeholders from Product Management, Software Engineering, Software Architecture, and Quality Assurance, to create compelling content experiences that help our customers solve their most important "design and make" problems. You will report to a Manager of Experience Design. This is a hybrid position located in the Toronto, Ontario area.When applying you must include both a resume and a portfolio (with password if needed).ResponsibilitiesCollaborate across teams to understand customer needs, context, and business objectives, and using that understanding to influence feature design for learnabilityApply design-thinking principles and user-centered design techniques to your projectsCraft user interface text and in-product messaging that guides customers to be successful using Autodesk productsDistil complex subject matter into clear contentApply Autodesk and product voice standards and terminology efforts across products to improve usability and consistencySeek technical, editorial and customer feedback to ensure accurate, clear content that meets customer needsUse customer insights from analytics, and other customer interactions, to help inform content decisionsCapture project requirements and other information necessary to estimate content development effortsContribute to Autodesk's community of practice for content designMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience, in a related field, such as English, web design, communications, engineering, or product designA basic understanding of human-centered design3+ years' experience developing high-quality content experiences for software applicationsAn understanding of how to explain complex and technical subject matter through written or visual contentKnowledge of using analytics and data to improve contentAbility to work in a distributed, global team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with engineering, manufacturing, industrial design, or related systemsExperience using design tools, such as FigmaExperience with GitHub and Markdown authoring, markup languages (such as HTML, XML, or DITA XML) and content management systems (CMS)Knowledge of one or more Autodesk software products#AC-1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
