Manager, Data Analytics

We’re currently looking for Manager, Data Analytics to drive the analytical infrastructure and product to analyze usage patterns for all of Clarivate Analytics’ customer facing propositions. The position will have the autonomy to set the direction and execution of all aspects of usage analytics. Outputs from this team will directly influence the design of customer facing propositions and will impact revenue. The usage analytics team will serve many stakeholders in the organizations with several of the them at executive leadership level. We are seeking a self-starter and who can bring structure and organization to a variety of complex customer problems and then drive solutions to those problems by bringing together multiple, distributed, cross-functional teams.  You are technical enough to discuss implementation constraints with engineers and rounded enough to work with internal stakeholders in identifying the usage analytics requirements and the data associated with the same.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments5+ years working as a senior business analyst, product manager, project manager, or tech lead for a technology company.Experience in data warehouse design/ETL design/metadata management, data modeling and data visualization technologiesExpertise with JIRA and ConfluenceExpertise in handling multiple and large data sources, processing the data, enriching the data and summarizing and expertise in data warehouse techniquesExpertise in SQL and queries.Experience executing a product roadmap through backlog management, defining specifications, and writing user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria. In other words, you should be experienced working in Agile development environment.It would be great if you also have . . .  Knowledge of big data technologies (non-SQL databases, Hadoop, Spark, graph-databases, in-mem databases) and data capture tools like Snowplow will get additional advantageExpertise in Visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Excel etc. Experience in scripting languages like R or Python will get additional advantageWhat will you be doing in this role?Engage directly with internal customers to understand dashboard and usage analytics needs, validate priorities, and involve directly in product development process. You will own the roadmap of the components.Building out the highly-scaled and optimized data infrastructure to support stakeholder requirements. Design data-flows to operational, tactical and strategic repositories and visualization/reporting/analytics on top of the data infrastructure(s)Own the product road map – the big idea driving the platform. Yet be in the weeds to plan and prioritize development sprints with engineering teams.Research and identify market requirements, write user stories, sketch mockups to help support your product discovery and definition.Research and identify new data requirements / new data sources to improve content quality and breadth of available dataActive involvement in system setup and design.Support in analyzing and preparing requirements of the enrichment process.Designing new dashboards.Plan and prioritize development sprints with engineering teams. You will play the role of product owner in the agile process, responsible for sign-offs to releases coming out of sprintsProvide managerial and leadership oversight to the teamAbout the TeamYou will be a part of Clarivate’s IT Services unit, as part of the Data and Analytics team with a focus of helping colleagues across different business units derive meaningful business insights.
