As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative frameworks, daemons, and services for Apple platforms, driving forward our vision of intelligent, connected home experiences. Description Description As a Software Engineer you will design and develop core infrastructure for a variety of Apple devices. You will: - Contribute to the creation of new frameworks and services, leveraging AI and ML to enhance decision-making and user experience. - Engage in every phase of development—from concept to deployment—collaborating with diverse teams across Apple. - Help design, develop, and patent the next generation of Apple’s state-of-the-art technologies, shaping the future of our ecosystem. - Work across applications, user-level libraries, and communication protocols, focusing on building low-latency, high-performance software. - Write clean, maintainable, and production code with appropriate documentation and tests Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Proficient in one or more object oriented language (Swift, Objective-C, C++). Experience shipping high quality software. Experience crafting powerful and concise APIs and broad knowledge of layered software architecture. Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and design with keen eye to best practices and design patterns. Experience with performance – profiling, identifying, and implementing optimization strategies. Good understanding of memory management, multi-threaded programming, and synchronization. Effective communicator, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with all levels of engineers and people in other fields. Motivated self-starter and phenomenal teammate who thrives working in a dynamic environment and learning new technologies. Proactive and forward-thinking, with strong collaboration skills to partner with multi-functional groups across the company. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
