Experimentation & Tracking is to build and operate a High Quality, Highly Available, Fully Automated, Cloud Native Online, Streaming and Offline Data Platform to drive eBay growth. eBay Tracking Platform team aims to provide highly reliable, accurate and consistent data feeds to ensure eBay understands how end-users interact with its products. It not only captures what users do and how systems react, but also transform collected data into insightful business feeds. The feedback loop from these critical insights fuel further improvements to the product and business performance. Finance, Experimentation and other analytics products are all downstream of tracking. Primary job responsibilitiesDesign and develop eBay tracking platform to help product and business teams to generate accurate and consistent data to facilitate decision making in eBay. Develop highly reliable, non-disruptive tracking agents for various types of user agents to automatically track user interactions with eBay products. Develop a high throughput and highly available data collection system to receive, validate, transform and send tracking data to downstream with robust monitoring and alerting.Develop scalable streaming and batch data processing systems to parse and analyze large volumes of data to build useful insights from raw tracking events. Relentless focus on quality and automation Job requirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.Strong and solid software development background, mastering Java.
