Build and implement new experiences, improve existing products and develop distributed systems powering the world’s largest E-Commerce websites at a large scale. Collaborate with the Product and Design Teams to understand End-User requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver results. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. Aggregate information and convert abstract concepts into viable products using Cs Fundamentals. Participate in brainstorming sessions and supply ideas to eBay’s technology, algorithms and products. Communicate well and take initiative to improve processes and seek opportunities for growth and innovation.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or closely related field.Special Skill Requirements: 1. Using Customer Service domain knowledge to understand the user stories and ultimately building solution to help meeting customer service KPI.2. Using Chatbot domain knowledge to build a real time chat application.3. Using Speech recognition tools to enable Speech recognition feature in the bot so that the same digital bot can be made available for Voice interface. 4. Using Java to build chat platform capabilities which offers real time messaging capabilities.5. Using HTML/ CSS to build UI for chat app, and a social media web app.6. Using Spark to provide WebSocket service for bidirectional client-server communication in chat app.7. Using RESTful API to allow bot to get member information and act upon the member request. 8. Using Javascript to build UI for chat app and a social media web app.9. Using Maven to simplify the process of managing and building Java-based apps.10. Using Mockito to implement Junit tests for Java backend service and features.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
