Candidates must be able to create, maintain and expand the existing automated regression suites to support ongoing Product Development for software releases. Additionally, they must be able to devise test cases from requirements, perform exploratory testing and write and execute automated regression tests. They must be able to work effectively within Agile teams, with developers and product owners, to decompose user stories/requirements and write automated tests at the Business logic, Contract, and User Interface levels. They must be able to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously. They must be able to estimate the time and resources required for testing and demonstrate a proven ability to complete software testing effectively within the established schedules.Your day to day• Learn the assigned product functionality and integration with other products quickly • Analyze product requirements and develop test plans and test cases• Perform both manual exploratory testing and automated regression testing• Maintain and reuse existing tests and create tests for new requirements• Evaluate lower level test coverage to determine QA automation tests on new and current features• Utilize system tools to diagnose and fully document test failures, identifying the source of the failure and providing steps to reproduce• Review and reproduce product defects that are reported by customers before corrections are delivered for testing• Review and validate tests written by Developers and other QA members• Report status to QA and Dev Management regularly• Possibly coordinate the testing done by others or assist in that coordination• Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospective meetingsWhat you bring to the team• Five or more years of experience in Software QA• Three or more years of experience in Test Automation • BS in Computer Sciences or Information Technology, or equivalent experience• Experience working with teams during the design and implementation phases to develop the best test approach incorporating the appropriate level of testing while understanding test coverage• Comprehensive knowledge of modern browsers, operating systems, and user interface testing techniques• Automation experience using Java or other object-oriented programing language is required• Experience with CI/CD pipeline is a plus• Experience with Amazon EKS is a plus• Experience with API testing is a plus• Experience with SQL backend testing is a plus• Demonstrated ability to develop new technical skills• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working as part of a technical team• Test Lead experience is a plus• Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail• Strong logical approach to verifying product requirementsWhy ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.
