Staff Technical Program Manager

As a Staff Technical Program Manager at Workiva, you will drive strategic initiatives and deliver solutions across our platform. Your efforts will influence the future direction and growth of our platform and PMO, making a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.What You'll DoStrategic Visionary: Lead strategic product development initiatives, driving future direction and tangible resultsProblem Solver: Simplify complex programs by defining scope, timeline, stakeholders, and deliverables, sometimes handing off to a team or seeing through to completionMultitasker: Manage multiple priorities with different stakeholders, ensuring effective prioritization and scope negotiationTechnical Expert: Utilize deep software development experience to plan, manage, and mitigate risks throughout the SDLC and PDLC, collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to align with Go-To-Market strategiesMentor and Resource: Guide and support Program Managers with expertise in program managementAgile Collaborator: Foster open communication and cross-functional collaboration, building strong stakeholder relationshipsMetrics Architect: Analyze program data, generate reports, and implement feedback loops to optimize performance by making data driven decisionsChange Champion: Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and innovative problem-solvingExecutive Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with leadership, translating technical nuances into clear roadmaps and updatesWhat You'll NeedMinimum Qualifications8+ years of experience in program management or similar rolesAn undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related fieldPreferred QualificationsStrong preference for experience managing programs within a SaaS environmentSolid understanding of the SDLC and PDLC, with a proven track record of applying technical knowledge to achieve and improve business outcomesProficiency in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and technical project management tools (e.g., Jira)Passion for collaboration and communication, thriving in an environment of cross-functional interactionProven ability to assess program success, prioritize effectively, and navigate complex environmentsStrong leadership and analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAdaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAbility to navigate through ambiguity and multitask across unrelated prioritiesTravel Requirements & Working Conditions10% travel for team jams and internal meetingsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva officeHow You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $142,000.00 - $241,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
