The successful candidate willEstablish and lead a strong team in India for Alteryx’s flagship cloud product, Designer Cloud.Collaborate with the Product Manager to shape and manage the product roadmap and direction.Partner with other leaders in India to define and uphold engineering culture and processes.Serve as a thought leader for the platform datasets team.Work in tandem with peer teams across Engineering and Product groups.Mentor and guide direct reports, supporting their career growth.Understand and implement Alteryx’s SDLC processes.Represent your team in engineering and release management meetings.Drive critical projects from the product and engineering roadmap.Ensure successful execution of your team's projects.Attract, retain, and develop talented software engineers for the team.Required SkillsPeople leadership experience (1+ years) with an ardent desire to lead7+ years of experience as a software engineer (or in a similar role), taking projects from the initial concept to production.4+ years of experience working with scalable distributed data processing systems.Strong experience as a backend tech lead with deep knowledge of java-based stacks, node.js and frameworks.Good exposure and knowledge of JS, React, and TypeScriptProven ability to co-own and execute product strategy/vision with Product ManagerStrong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detailClear, concise written and verbal communicationDeep understanding and commitment to modern software engineering principles/processes (Agile, Lean, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurementDemonstrable experience driving collaboration and solutions across teamsFind yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply?
