The Role:At Ticketmaster Resale, we secure tens of millions of tickets from resellers. The Resale Strategy senior manager will provide expert analysis to identify pricing and supply opportunities for the most exciting events in the world – NFL, NBA, NHL, Concerts, Theater, and more.You will be responsible for analyzing complex pricing, inventory, and sell-thru data; partnering with stakeholders across the organization, including revenue strategy, category management, product, and engineering; and doing what is necessary to push exciting new initiatives forward. You will develop and build your own models and dashboards, present findings and make recommendations to senior leadership, and see the impact of your work after it is executed in market. A successful candidate will possess exceptional quantitative skills, experience working cross-functionally, and leadership qualities.What we are looking for - a passionate, ambitious professional who is a: Business Driver: You will join a team that is responsible for delivering incremental revenue and profit. This role isn’t a support function, it is a growth engine. Analytics Expert: The secondary market for tickets is dynamic and complex, spanning millions of tickets across thousands of events. You will help us create value for Ticketmaster and also for content owners and fans. Persuasive Story Teller: Your work will be presented to Ticketmaster leaders across all functions and to third parties (leagues/teams). Translating and simplifying the data into true insights that will drive business strategy and change behavior is essential. Cross-functional team player:  We value transparency and helping one another. You will work across multiple internal teams on a daily basis to propel our business forward.Responsibilities Serve as the analytical expert behind TM’s “Sell Instantly” offering, which surfaces bids from buyers to fans looking to sell their ticketsManage resale inventory curation technologies and techniques to ensure our marketplace provides fans with the best possible shopping experienceLeverage existing work across the company and complete analyses to assess the prices set by our sellers and the value of our inventoryDrive initiatives forward by gaining cross-functional support from busy teams with competing prioritiesIdentify new opportunities to apply findings from pricing and inventory analyses to other parts of the businessPartner with product and engineering teams to build and improve inventory curation tools and other offerings geared towards helping sellers sell through their inventoryCreate efficiencies by building dashboards and optimizing processes related to resale pricing and inventory effortsUnderstand intricacies of the resale business in order to properly assess performance of new tools and strategiesStrengthen our analytics capabilities, providing in-depth support to executive leaders and the client organization, which works closely with teams, leagues, promoters, and venuesGather actionable insights from resale inventory and pricing trends across marketplacesHave the confidence to drive ideas forward and the humility to continue learning about an industry that is always evolvingHave a passion for the sports and live entertainment industries and demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of industry dynamicsJob RequirementsBachelor’s Degree7+ years of work experienceHighly skilled in Excel and experience manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insightsExperience with data visualization software such as Tableau or DOMOExperience thinking strategically about two-sided marketplacesExperience managing and assessing the impact of revenue-driving initiativesOutstanding interpersonal and organizational skillsExperience representing business interests in product and engineering planning and roadmap conversationsDesire to help create a fun and productive culture, leveraging Ticketmaster’s focus on sports and music
