Job Requisition ID #24WD80218Position OverviewAs a Principal Solution Architect, you will be a technical subject matter expert with experience in defining, automating, and integrating technical/functional Autodesk solutions that create competitive advantage for companies in the industry space. You'll work closely with our customers' leadership teams to architect and design innovative solutions with specifications that can be traced to business strategy and success metrics.Employing industry standard methodologies and frameworks, you'll lead a team to build solutions that will provide help our customers achieve their business objectives. These solutions will improve and automate their business processes and workflows, help them make their data a strategic business asset and, enable insights and efficiencies using AI and ML. You will help educate customers create a clear vision on future business capabilities, advise them on key architecture considerations, and inform them on implantation strategies and plans including estimating effort and resources required. You will help customer define a clear path to successfully develop, integrate, and deploy new solutions.ResponsibilitiesDefine Software and IT System architecture by evaluating and translating customer business needsDefine Solution architecture and/or validate customer's architecture feasibilityDesigning Data Architectures that support effective data definition, data management, and data integrationDefine data requirements and implement data management tooling enabling the integration and deployment of AI modelsCreates a path to develop, integrate and deploy Autodesk solutions into enterpriseKeeps abreast with technology trends (innovative and disruptive) affecting our customersUnderstand data pipelines to promote efficient enterprise data flowUnderstand document storage and engineering change management best practicesUnderstand data cleansing and data mining strategies to enable ML and AI solutionsProvides input to stakeholders for arriving at best possible solutionProvides insight into enterprise impact from proposed solutionEducates and highlights key architecture considerations to implement solutionProvides traceability from business requirement to solution componentsGathers input on non-functional requirements for solutionMay act as liaison between customer IT and Business stakeholders within the scope of solutionEstimates effort and resources requiredEnables customer to engage in validation of business needs and critical componentsValidates Autodesk API capabilities to be used in the solutionProvides look-forward view of solution wireframeBe effective voice of Autodesk solutions in various outlets such as conferences, whitepapers and blogsGives visibility of complete dependencies of People, Process and TechnologyContributes towards Customer's Change Management framework and identifies division of laborGathers and internalizes rich customer feedback, using it to generate innovative solutions that fill core or future needs.Acts as "Trusted Advisor" providing technical and thought leadership to the customer to guide them to successWorks with project managers and project sponsors to provide enterprise solutions to specific business problems and issues across many domainsCollaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that their solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmapsPrepares and presents project documentation for the customer stakeholdersEvaluates design approaches, makes architectural recommendations, and implements improvements to adoption strategiesPresent "point of view" on implementation roadmap to multiple types of stakeholdersDevelop "reference architectures" and promote re-use in implementing Autodesk technologiesLead and Mentor developers and 3rd party consultantsMentor and coach team members as we collectively try to improve and grow in our professionParticipate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standardsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar field8+ years of software engineering experience with relevant BS degree, or 8+ years with advanced degreeUnderstanding of Manufacturing tools and processes including CAD, PDM, and PLM.Database Knowledge: In-depth understanding of database structure principlesExperience working on large scale, customer facing, web and cloud applicationsStrong .NET skills. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $118,200 and $191,290. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
