We are looking for an IP Manager to join our patent preparation and prosecution services team in Noida or Bengaluru, India. This is an amazing opportunity to work on drafting and prosecution support services for cutting edge technologies including electronics, telecommunication, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), automation and associated technologies for our global clients including global multinational corporations, top tier law firms, small and mid -sized companies, start-ups and academic or research institutions.  Our rapidly growing team includes 18 members reporting to the Director of patent operations and global head of the patent preparation and prosecution service line. We have a great team with a diverse skill set in multiple technology domains including electrical, mechanical, electronics, hardware, software, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology and we would love to speak with you if you have patent application drafting and prosecution related experience in the electronic arts and affiliated technologies.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  ·         At least 8 years of experience in all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution·         Proven ability to deliver high quality draft applications and office action responses that can withstand scrutiny and result in patent allowances or grants·         Expertise to independently handle complex and challenging cases across top global jurisdictions including US, EP, CN, KR, JP, IN and others·         Proven ability in training, mentoring junior team members and conducting in-depth quality checks and assessment of their work product·         Proven versatility to handle cases in the core technology areas including electronics, telecommunication, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), automation; as well as cross domain areas including mechatronics, medical technology and associated technologies·         Bachelor's/Masters degree in Telecommunication/Electronics or other relevant disciplinesIt would be great if you also had . . .  ·         A patent agent registration number·         A law degree·         A Master’s or PhD in Telecommunication/Electronics or other relevant disciplines·         Working knowledge of standard essential patents (SEPs) and technology standards including 4G, 5G, 6G·         Working knowledge of conducting patentability searches and analysis using patent and non-patent databases What will you be doing in this role? ·         Independently drafting high quality draft patent applications and office action responses in compliance with PCT, US, EP, and/or Indian patent law and rules·         Directly and consistently engaging with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish targeted goals and objectives·         Independently conducting disclosure calls and other substantive discussions with client teams including inventors, attorneys, in-house counsel, and heads of IP to clarify technical and legal requirements, resolve conflicts and achieve desired outcomes·         Training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing with junior members in informal or formal settings to achieve continuous improvement in quality and skill levels across the team·         Independently scoping, quoting, tracking incoming and ongoing projects by engaging with internal technical and non-technical teamsWorking Hours:Mon- Friday ( 9:00 am to 6:00 PM IST) Hybrid work modeAt Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
