Sourcing Manager

Clarivate is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager who has the know-how and capability to lead stakeholder engagement and change management for Hyderabad location. You will serve in a pivotal role, leading strategic sourcing engagements across a wide range of business units on a global basis to enable supplier consolidation, cost management, and the scaling of the business. Spend categories could include Corporate Services such as Professional Services, Consulting Services, HR Services, Marketing Services as well as IT. Key leadership traits required include the ability to influence and form strong partnerships with business leaders, and operational excellence in managing multiple complex and competing priorities simultaneously. Sourcing Managers are expert practitioners in the tools for creating competitive environments and have a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Minimum 7 years of Procurement experience, with at least 3 years as a Procurement Consultant, or Sourcing Manager or Category Manager in an established Procurement or Sourcing organization.Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience /Preferred: MBAKnowledge of a wide range of professional and corporate services as well as other indirect categories and supply markets.Knowledge of sourcing principlesIt would be great if you also had . . .  Demonstrated track record of high motivation and self-initiative through goals achievement.Organizational awareness, strategic planning, team-oriented, collaborativeAdvanced knowledge of professional services categoryProven negotiation skillsWhat will you be doing in this role? Major Areas of AccountabilityStrategic RequirementsDevelopment of strategic sourcing initiatives through the introduction of a competitive marketplace, demand management, supplier consolidation, and process re-engineeringDrive business outcomes by increasing both savings and value.Category expertise to identify cost drivers/trends to create procurement strategies across the category.Management of competitive bid processes including RFPs, RFIs, RFQsLead negotiations of various types of supplier agreementsOwn the full strategic sourcing cycle, including supplier identification and selection, price negotiation, and contract "red-lining".Lead and drive the identification, planning and management of a pipeline of strategic sourcing projects.Market research and benchmarking of suppliers and related service categoriesSupplier ManagementDevelop and maintain supplier relationships.Arrange performance reviews with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations to address issues and exploit opportunities.Perform analysis of supplier spend data and process metrics to proactively recommend improvements.Stakeholder Management Work with and across stakeholder groups to define needs and aggregate wherever possible.Act as liaison between the stakeholder and the supplier to determine the optimal approach to meeting validated business requirements.Provide input to stakeholders on budget development based on market/supplier pricing.Provide continuous feedback to stakeholders and management regarding the status of projects and initiatives.Provide education and guidance to stakeholders regarding the value of adopting and complying with purchasing policies, procedures, tools, and processes.General/Projects Must have good knowledge of various sourcing practices and tools, and lead/support efforts to enhance the value of sourcing to the organization.Perform analysis of spend data and process metrics to proactively recommend improvements.Extend the reach of Sourcing by exercising appropriate influence within project teams, customer groups, and peer groups.About the Team   This position reports into the VP, Global Sourcing in the United StatesThe Procurement organization is spread across the United States, Europe, Israel and India, and some flexibility of hours is required..Hours of Work We work 5 days a week from Monday to Friday (Hybrid work mode)At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
