Title: Technical Documentation Manager (Grade 38/39)Location:  US virtual - Dallas, Texas area based.Synonymous Job Title: Technical Writer llOverview:Manager, Technical Documentation will primarily be responsible for leading the definition, creation, updating, and publishing of Service Descriptions (SaaS) that form Blue Yonder’s commercial commitment to our customers.Scope:Sets the standards for documenting Blue Yonder’s Software as a Service (SaaS) offers and ensuring that Product Managers adhere to the standards.Understands the rigor required when documenting Software as a Service and the technical and commercial requirements of this documentation which forms part of Blue Yonder’s commercial commitment to its customers as both:the product’s warrantythe standard for the service level agreement where failure to meet the standard results in penalties being incurredWhat You’ll Do:Creates the standards for documenting Blue Yonder’s Software as a Service offersTrains, teaches, and mentors Product Managers on how to write effective documentationPerforms documentation reviews and ensures the documentation adheres to standardsConsistently enables Product Managers to deliver solid product documentation and helps product managers improve themselves, in particular:Is a role model in delivering high quality product documentationis the subject matter expert that mentors and trains Product Managers on the timely creation of service descriptions so that the documents are published in advance of products being available for sale.Is the designated owner of service description standardsIs the “go to” person for how to write service descriptionsTrains, teaches, and mentors product managers.Actively researches and implements content, format, and technical standards changes to improve the usability or production of the customer documentation.Project manages the documentation release process ensuring that the required reviews and quality control processes are followed before publishing.Is the point of contact for the legal team and works with product managers on any issues or updates/corrections that are required following legal reviewWorks with product managers to understand Blue Yonder solutions, if they are deployed independently or with other solutions so that the overall customer service level agreement commitment is considered when making commitments within the service descriptions.Is responsible for the library of service descriptions and version control.Drives effective communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.Is an early adopter of tools and documentation trends.Has advanced UX writing knowledge and assists in defining best-in-class processes and standards.What we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience writing documentation for Software as a Service (SaaS).Skilled and experienced at clear, precise, detailed writing intended for commercial purposes.Extensive Word experience.Strong attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Great interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.*LI-MH1#LI-REMOTE-------------------------------------------The salary range for this opportunity is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 commensurate with experience. Additionally, there is an 8% annual bonus.The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.At Blue Yonder, we care about the wellbeing of our employees and those most important to them.
