What you'll be doing:
To be a successful Fraud Operations Manager at Enova, one must have an innate desire to dig deeper, and a willingness to go above and beyond in an effort to protect our products from falling victim to various fraud attempts. On a typical day, you will be leading a team through executing complex, in-depth investigations on suspicious applications as well as using technology-based tools to improve current fraud monitoring and detection systems utilizing SQL and Excel. Managers and key executives will need to depend on your skills and knowledge to ensure the health of the business is being maintained from the fraud risk perspective. Innovation is the key in being able to successfully combat fraudsters, so we are seeking a candidate with an imaginative mind who can shed new light on intuitive ways to fight fraud. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with P&L team leads, stakeholders, and executives to effectively manage fraud prevention strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of fraud operations within the financial services industry, and will span across Enova’s consumer and small business portfolios.
Your core priorities will be to:
Develop and own the fraud strategy roadmap for our product offerings
To monitor, and investigate any suspicious applications and loans for one or more of our products
Work cross-functionally with other departments to improve procedures, and/or provide advice from a fraud risk perspective
Work independently while supporting teams in other locations around the globe
Lead the Fraud Operations Analysts and provide any necessary feedback to help the team improve as a whole
Identify efficiencies within the team and prioritize tasks to optimize operations
Manage vendor relationships effectively and stay informed about emerging fraud trends in the industry
Coach and develop team members to build a high-performing fraud operations team
What you should have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred
8-10 years of relevant experience in fraud operations in the lending industry, preferably within small business lending
Proven track record of leadership and mentoring in a team environment
Experience in developing and implementing fraud prevention strategies is required
Exposure to complex SQL queries
Working knowledge of MS Office applications
Highly self-motivated, and willingness to build networks/relationships with other departments
Willingness to do what it takes to respond to urgent projects, reports, or issues
Excellent written and oral communication skills to succinctly and accurately communicate issues and recommendations
Ability to derive actionable insights from large, complex data sets and take initiative
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to fraud operations
Certification in fraud examination or similar credentials is a plus
