The roles and responsibilities of the Coursera Finance team include accounting, financial reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, and compliance. As our Payroll Operations Manager, EMEA and APAC, you will have the opportunity to build on your payroll experience and knowledge while supporting Coursera’s global employees. Responsibilities: Oversee monthly EMEA and APAC payrolls; including but not limited to, stock transactions, taxes, benefits, and variable payments Collaborate with People Operations, Equity, and Legal in the administration of payrollManage external vendor relationships and ensure data is processed accurately and timely Research issues independently and develop efficient processes to ensure compliance with all local employment tax regulations Review payroll journal entries, payroll account reconciliations, and monthly payroll flux analyses Management of payroll-related projects including year-end preparation, resolve payroll tax issues, support annual audits and other ad hoc projects Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field 6+ years of experience processing payroll for multiple countries in EMEA and APAC, including knowledge of employment tax and payroll regulations Experience with India and UK payroll processing and tax regulations Experience working with external vendors in the administration of payroll Strong understanding of stock transactions, including restricted stock, option exercises, and ESPP Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Workday and EY Payroll Operate Services Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and the ability to interact with employees at all levels Proficiency with Google Suite in an office environment and strong Excel skills, with experience creating pivot tables and v-lookups Payroll experience in a public company and SOX experienceWorking  Comment start hours Comment end  Ability to overlap working hours with Pacific Standard Time (San Francisco)  If this opportunity interests you, you might like these courses on Coursera: Business and Financial Modeling Specialization Data Analysis & Presentation Skills Business Statistics and Analysis   #LI-JB1   Coursera is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected class.   If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, please contact us at accommodations@coursera.org.   For California Candidates, please review our CCPA Applicant Notice here.
