Working closely with engineering, product and technology operations VP’s and well as senior HR business partners, the person in this role will work with a variety of partners to develop and deliver impactful communications strategies and sustainable programs. The role requires a communicator who is committed to high quality and innovation. They must love the challenge of capturing a leader’s voice, creative storytelling and working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment. What you will accomplish: This is a hands-on role where you will be working with the Senior Director of Employee Communications to co-develop the communications strategy for core product and technology and new product development teams. You will also assist with the company-wide narrative on product & technology development and be responsible for tactical communications execution for large employee audiences. Examples of day-to-day work include writing and editing communications (email, internal social and intranet content), developing outlines and slides, producing monthly town halls, quarterly all-hands, recording, editing and producing short videos, working with agency partners, and developing creative approaches that will drive employee engagement. What you will bring: 10+ years of employee communications, leadership communications experience with senior executives – preferably in a global organization within the retail, internet or technology sectors. Bachelor’s required – preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to cut through with a succinct, modern style.Highly proficient user of PowerPoint and KeynoteStrong digital and social storytelling and engagement experience.Keen understanding of the Technology media and external events/ communications landscape and ability to amplify eBay's reputation and leaders within the sectorComplex organizational and cultural change management experience.Strong Internet and general eye for businessPracticed capacity to manage complex projects with multiple partners navigating conflict and developing consensus.Bring a business outcomes approach to communications workTechnology savvy. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
