Solution Validation Engineer for Future Customer ExperiencesDescription -Job SummaryFuture Customer Experience team focus on shaping new way of interaction, such as the combination of single-camera 360 webcam, glasses-free 3D displays, and large language model. The team also partners with external development partners to bring future-looking technology into products, e.g., Google project Starline.This Solution Validation Engineer plays a key role in the validation of cutting-edge Videoconferencing technology, focusing on developing and implementing test plans for integrated software, firmware, and hardware function. The position requires thorough understanding of testing principles, the ability to design test solution for newly launched product from scratch, and the communication skill to work together with ODM and development partners.Responsibilities• Test Solution Design and Development:  - Design engineering solutions for test fixtures, systems, and tools to validate electrical, mechanical, and software components based on established engineering principles and technology development guidelines.  - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and parameters for new and existing products, focusing on the validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements.  - Conduct empirical analysis, modeling, and testing to validate the effectiveness and reliability of test solutions and fixtures.• Collaboration and Communication:  - Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.  - Provide input for multidisciplinary project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality test solutions for moderately complex products.• Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:  - Contribute to integrating quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, and continuous improvement of test solutions and fixtures.  - Review and evaluate test solution designs and implementation activities for potential quality issues, providing tangible feedback and implementing solutions to improve test quality and mitigate risk of failures.• Support Proof of Concept (POC) and Engineering Investigations:  - Assist in the development and validation of Proof of Concept (POC) projects to explore and demonstrate new technologies and approaches in videoconferencing.  - Conduct engineering investigations to identify root causes of issues, analyze test data, and provide actionable insights to improve product performance and reliability.• Documentation and Reporting:  - Prepare and present test architectures, design proposals, quality plans, and test results to management, ensuring clear, effective communication.  - Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of test status, project progress, test plans, and quality evaluations.Education & Experience Recommended•8+ years of work experience in debug and validation, or a related field is a must.• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Experience in video and display system product validation is highly preferred.• Experience to design comprehensive test plan for Hardware, Software and Firmware overall performance and reliability is highly preferred.• Ability to effectively communicate between internal and external stakeholders is required.
