This position reports to the Director, Legal (Employment and Benefits). The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in international employment law, with an ability to bring people and processes together.What you’ll be doing:Be a trusted legal partner and work collaboratively with relevant internal groups to navigate wide-ranging international employment related matters, including: hiring and recruiting issues; drafting, amending and interpreting country-specific employment related agreements; performance management; investigations; leaves of absence and workplace accommodations; employee benefits; terminations, position eliminations, and workforce restructuring activities; set up of entities in new countries; merger and acquisition matters; and general support of the global human resources team.Partner with various internal stakeholders to determine strategy and approach in connection with merger and acquisition matters, the internal Investigations function, on global company-human resources related initiatives, and for global employment-related policies, guidelines, and processes, with an approach that balances pragmatism, risk, and compliance.Ensure compliance with all globally applicable employment laws, regulations and policies.Manage relationships with outside counsel on global employment related matters and educate clients and partners on global legal matters/developments, policies and procedures.What we need to see:Current member in good standing of the California State BarLaw degree from top law school with excellent academic credentials8+ years of substantive employment experience with a corporate legal department and/or a nationally recognized law firmExcellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skillsExcellent legal and business judgment and attention to detailHighly motivated, independently driven, and good interpersonal skills, with a consistent track record of successful collaboration with cross-discipline and multi-functional teams that coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographiesAbility to coordinate, prioritize and manage deadlines, workflow, and team execution in a fast-based and demanding work environmentEstablish and maintain strong working relationships, credibility and trust with internal clients, customers, legal team members and other colleaguesThink creatively, function independently and work proactivelyAbility to handle complexity and demands with a sense of urgency, drive and passionWays to stand out from the crowd: Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to take own initiativeAbility to strategically lead potentially contentious interactionsMust work well in a team-oriented environment, as well as independentlyNVIDIA is widely considered one of the technology world’s most desirable employers! Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
