We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. Senior Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities EngineeringJob SummarySenior Manager of Data Center Critical Facilities Engineering in a multi-site 24/7/365 critical facility environment.  This includes being an ambassador for Equinix culture and values: Serve Others; Open your mind; Open your heart; Keep your promises; Be an energy supplier; Find a better way; Keep growing; Put we before me, and Speak up, Step up.  Responsibilities Lead, mentor and guide a team of 24/7/365 skilled Critical Facility Engineering professionals, including supervisors and managers across multiple sites/buildingsManages the troubleshooting and fault resolution of complex incident management issues by investigating the issue, identifying the cause and implementing the required fix. Summarizes the findings during the troubleshooting and produces Incident Reports Implements new strategies to prevent potential problems Emergency and disaster mitigation Leads testing of existing and new equipment Overall multi-site capacity management including electrical, mechanical and control systems. Plans, coordinates, approves budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center Oversees procurement and partnership of vendors Oversees maintenance of Data Center equipment and ensures that standards are met Manages complex projects multi-departmental (i.e., determines project budget and scope) and designates work to team  Qualifications Extensive experience managing and mentoring skilled professionals in a 24/7/365 critical facility environment. Including managing team members across multiple sites and leading managers with direct reportsAbility to navigate complex and ambiguous situations to make high-quality decisions in a timely manner Ability to manage change and influence cross-functionally Knowledge of EHS compliance requirements and working through audits Advanced knowledge in electrical, UPS, mechanical and control systems including HVAC systems, generators and safety systems Understanding of design and coordination requirements of large and complex power distribution and control systems, redundancy, resiliency, and protection Working knowledge of data center power and cooling solutions A natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills Experience working in a critical facility where failure is not an optionCustomer-facing experience including managing escalations Previous experience in a Data Center or Critical facility environment is strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills success Ability to build rapport and foster trust with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders Passion for quality and customer satisfaction Experience managing vendor relationships Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
