This role will lead acquisition integration activities representing the Global Fashion Business Unit (BU) and will need to work closely with the acquired company’s leadership team and with cross-functional teams to align strategies, optimize and streamline commercial operations, handle strategic capability's integration, and improve alignments from the acquisition. This also includes leading cultural integration efforts to ensure teams feel supported and are well-adjusted to their new home.This individual is a strategic and operational leader who understands a two-sided marketplace, operates with strong accountability, comfort working within an ambiguous environment, collaborates well with cross-functional partners, is deeply data and customer driven, and brings structure into sophisticated projects.What you will accomplish:Integration Management & Execution Collaborate with executives, legal, finance, and other relevant partners to lead and see through acquisition goals/strategic rationale and integration prioritiesActs as primary interface with acquired company and relationship broker between eBay and acquired company’s leadership team. This will include supervising progress, provide regular updates to senior leadership and partners, and address any roadblocks or challenges during integration period, setting the tone and pace for the integration, handles and settles trade-offsCreate detailed and repeatable integration discovery plan, scorecards, work plans, timelines, and achievements, ensuring seamless execution of the integration process.Leads execution of value drivers and business integration plansDelivers overall deal results (strategic, financial, people-related)Guides early identification and resolution of issuesAcquisition Success Program ManagementAct as BU strategic advisor to acquired company’s leadership team and eBay functional teams to ensure continued and future success of the overall businessLead to deliver other key elements of acquisition success strategy as it relates to primary motivators of acquisition, such as internal/external comms and PR plans, tech needs, acquired company change management and team morale activities, etc.Transfers key elements of eBay’s culture, processes, and ways of working to the acquired company, working with People and Change Management teams to ensure that the organizational culture and processes support the realization of commonalitiesCoordinate communication efforts to convey the strategic rationale for the acquisition, integration progress, and achievements achieved.Use various communication channels to keep employees advised and engaged during the integration journey.Ongoing Synergy Identification, Scoping, and Implementation:Scope and prioritize net new synergies based on strategic importance, feasibility of implementation, and quantify the potential impactDevelop a detailed plan outlining the resources, actions, and timelines required to realize the synergiesCollaborate with partners to refine financial model, align model to execution plans, and handle model post-Deal SignBecome “true advisor” on commercial integration across entire organization, helping the BU/Deal Lead navigate other M&A resources / activities across the organizationWhat you will bring Commercial, Senior Manager experience in strategy, e-Commerce, M&A, or equivalent experience – a plus if in Fashion-related businessExperience leading strategy projects within a management consulting firm and working with senior executivesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with complementary teams and partnersUnderstanding of product development processes within technology companiesHigh adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic e-commerce environmentPassion for M&A, Financial Investments, fashion and operating an ecommerce businessesProject Management, specifically M&A transactions experience a plusTrack record of success defining clear strategies, implementing operating plans, and leading teamsHighly analytical with the ability to build out annual forecast and detailed planning modelsA strong cross-functional partner with experience leading large teams through influenceHigh degree of ownership, strong project management skills, and commitment to resultsData-driven approach to planning and decision making.
