Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.Collaboration and Strategy:Engage in strategic partnerships with product Test, Development, and Engineering teams to extract precise product and feature requirements. This collaborative approach ensures that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the objectives and deliverables.Craft detailed testing strategies for new features and products, ensuring a robust and thorough evaluation of all aspects of the technology.Teamwork and Planning:Work closely with test engineers to refine test strategies, meticulously review test plans, and coordinate with the automation team to achieve comprehensive automated test coverage.Foster a culture of collaboration with Cross-functional Teams, including both local and remote Test Engineers, Development Engineers, PLLs, Customer-Support, and TAC, to create a synergistic work environment.Execution and Analysis:Implement test plans with precision, both manually and through automation. Review test scripts and logs, diagnose failures, troubleshoot issues, and oversee defect resolution to ensure the highest quality outcomes.Collaborate with customers and the TAC team for effective reproduction of customer issues, enhancing the responsiveness and relevance of testing efforts.Experience and Expertise:Bring a wealth of experience, with a minimum of 15 years in test and automation within the Networking domain, to lead and innovate in testing methodologies.Possess comprehensive knowledge of Routing protocols, L2 VPN, L3 VPN, Multicast, MPLS, telemetry, Access/BNG protocols (Radius/diameter/AAA), PON, and other key networking concepts.Demonstrate proficiency with traffic generators like Spirent/IXIA and other open-source tools, contributing to a versatile and effective testing toolkit.Technical Proficiency:Have a strong command of automation development using Python and Robot Framework, with at least 3 years of focused experience, to drive efficiency and innovation in testing processes.Be well-versed in CI/CD frameworks, especially Bamboo, for streamlined test scheduling and result reporting, integrating seamlessly into the development lifecycle.Analytical and Communication Skills:Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of proactive planning and effective crisis management, to navigate complex challenges and deliver solutions.Maintain an independent work ethic with meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate status, issues, and needs effectively, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.Possess outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, to articulate complex concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
