Electrical engineering teardowns and cost modelingManage Electrical Engineering teardown, which includes BOM extraction, cost modeling, competitive analysis, value analysis.Lead process improvement initiatives within internal team and across different organizations.Partner across supply chain to engage suppliers on cost models, specifically: Acquiring all elements/parameters of a component / part’s cost.Identify key cost factors based upon component cost structure, key technical specs to develop simplified cost models.Liaison with external 3rd party / suppliers to source analysis report, data to collect cost benchmarks.Build and develop should cost model toolsManage the development of cost models and cost benchmark database for Electrical Engineering standard components and Electrical Engineering / EM customized parts.Develop processes and tools to support cost modeling program with a focus on process improvements to enable higher quality results using less resources and a shorter TAT.Manage and maintain database / sharepoint of cost models, parameters, and analysis performed.Define ‘accuracy’ targets for ‘should cost’ model and drive model improvements to meet these targets.Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering field is preferred (EE, CS, IE / Statistic). MBA is nice to have.Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin.Detail oriented, analytical, basic statistic knowledge.Excellent interpersonal (one on one), teamwork (one on team) and collaboration (team to team) skills, logical problem-solving skills.Ability to manage ambiguity, make the best decision based on the information available. Able to simplify complexities.Excel skillset – VBA and Macros, pivot tables and charts, advanced Formulas (Vlookup, Index+Match, Sumif), conditional formattingDatabase Programming skillset – Python, SQL, AccessMicrosoft Project, sharepoint knowledge is a plus.Typically has 8+ years of work experience with solid sense on EE component market, key technical specs and cost structure.
