EMC R&D Engineer

If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom is seeking a fulltime EMC Test and R&D engineer with a mix of skills in testing, lab management, debugging, participating in design (especially PCB level), to ensure Broadcom Ethernet ICs can meet various EMC requirements. The typical products are Automotive and ITE/Multimedia ICs on Broadcom reference boards. The EMC Lab is Broadcom-internal with focus on R&D and internal qualification of current and new high-speed data-communications technologies.Key responsibilities and requirements:Active involvement in EMC testing for various products.EMC Lab management.Interaction with design engineers and debugging.Cooperation with EMC and design/R&D engineers.Generating and reviewing internal and external-customer EMC reports.Knowledge of EMC standards, Electromagnetics, RF.Hands-on experience with scopes, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.Familiarity with Automotive EMC testing is desired.Familiarity with Ethernet PHYs is desired.Familiarity with MATLAB is desiredBSc and 8+ years of related experience, MSc and 6+ years of related experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of related experience. RF and/or EMC focus is highly desired.Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $107,000  - $171,000 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
