We’re looking for a communications specialist to help us craft communications plans and messaging that deliver impact to the organization in support of our Community & Belonging team which includes Community Impact, the Equinix Foundation, DIB (Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging), and Wellbeing.  As a Communications Specialist supporting our Community and Belonging strategy, you will create content and execute plans that inform, inspire and bring to life our vision of creating a place where all employees can say I’m safe, I belong, and I matter.ResponsibilitiesCommunications Planning:Assists in the development and maintenance of a strategic communications plan, taking the lead on various deliverables or plans as assigned by leadershipProactively identifies potential roadblocks or conflicts and escalates as neededContent Creation/ ManagementIndependently creates content targeting key audiences which includes writing and copyeditingDevelops compelling storylines and written materials for internal and external audiencesWrites stories about events and employees for inclusion in our Community and Belonging newsletter, internal websites, and internal social channelsContributes to quarterly newsletter compilation and distribution processWorks directly with employees to write their personal stories and brings them to life for internal blog seriesResearches, consolidates, and analyzes information to build captivating presentationsEnsures content approval processes and timelines are defined and followedCreates content for external social media channelsIncorporates visual storytelling into work productUtilizes best practices for inclusive, global communicationsProject ManagementCoordinates and monitors projects from start to completion (e.g., sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of project, conducts meetings)Communication Platform ManagementPublishes and updates content utilizing various communication platforms as needed including intranet, Viva Engage channels, and communications distribution tool, PoppuloEscalates platform issues as neededStakeholder Management and CommunicationDevelops relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company and collaborates closely with themReporting and MetricsDesigns, produces and distributes management reports on relevant metricsAnalyzes and conveys meaningful recommendations based on survey dataQualifications3+ years of experience in executive, employee, and/or internal communications, with a global organizationBachelor's degree requiredExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong Powerpoint skillsVideo and graphic design skills a plusExperience in assisting in developing plans, implementation, and content creationExperience working cross-functionally with employees and leadersExperience producing or supporting communications across a variety of channels including newsletters, videos, social mediaPassion for diversity, inclusion, sustainability, community impact, wellbeing, and the overall betterment of societyAbility to work in an agile and rapidly changing environmentAttentive to detailA self-motivated collaborator who is comfortable working independently but also comfortable reaching out to others for support and feedbackCurious, innovative, creativeEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
