The role is a mix of business expert, finance analyst and risk professional!What You Will Accomplish:The financial analysis related to eMBG (eBay Money Back Guarantee) program and external chargeback losses, including the monthly loss forecast for all partners including executives and regional finance teams. Requires collaborating with teams in North America, the UK, Germany, FRITES, and Australia.Prepare monthly loss forecasts and annual loss budgets by collaborating with multiple business divisions in Expense Management and Wall Street P&L Reporting.Build time series models to forecast claim counts enabling Payments Customer Service team in workforce management.Conducting analytical deep dives to understand key drivers of performance and highlight opportunities directly impacting losses.Developing end to end analytical and financial view on everything related to transactional losses.Partner to trust teams to develop committed insights and provide recommendations to limit losses and improve trust on eBayDriving accountability with partners by measuring results against plan and helping to ensure the financial safety of the companyWhat You Will Bring:Dedication to working our Hybrid Model with 3+ days on site per week in either our San Jose, CA office or our Austin, TX officeBachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Finance Analytics experience. Master's degree in Applied Analytics preferredPossess an outstanding grasp of business needs and priorities, quantitative proficiency, problem solving & comprehending sophisticated problemsThis person must have a good understanding of end-to-end analytics – problem definition, collating the required information, analyzing the results, and communicating a compelling argument that influences collaborators to actExperience with financial modeling, analytical methodologies and testingSophisticated Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint skillsPrior forecasting or performance analysis experience a plusSQL mastery required.R, Python and SAS experience a plus#LI-JG1The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.$106,800 - $162,800Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
