Position OverviewAs the Senior Manager of Digital Services Software Data Insights & Product Management, you will define the strategy and roadmap to create meaningful digital services that will exceed customer requirements through the entire lifecycle of their product engagement experience.You will cultivate, lead and manage a group of high-performing Software Product Managers and Data Scientists that will collaborate with the business units across HP in taking deep customer insights about all layers of our customers and transforming them into innovative, multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans across our digital services portfolio. You will drive the team to work through the entire Product Management lifecycle – from ideation and concept planning, through product management and execution. In this role, you will help define the needed tools, processes, KPI requirements for the business transformation and sustained success with your cross-functional peers. The scope of the role is global and will report into the Director of Enterprise Digital Service Software Product Management and Support.ResponsibilitiesCreate and drive the digital services roadmap – including a scalable platform and experiences that will allow our customers to manage their portfolio of HP ecosystem products from deployment to sustaining to EOL transition management.Lead the product managers to uncover, understand and synthesize deep customer insights and understand where key pain points and opportunities exist for services related to their workflows.Collaborate with other Product Team leaders across the product ecosystem to create complete product solutions.Work with engineering and design teams to prototype, pilot and curate new product experiences.Create the solutions narrative and value propositions for downstream teams.Add process rigor through establishing common product management processes to enable increased agility and speed of execution.Manages the implementation and ongoing success of software products, encompassing (re)defining requirements, sprint planning, and release management.Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements.Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.Provides mentorship and guidance to other product managers engaged in applications and solutions development.Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plansPerforms talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.ExperienceFour-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Marketing or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.Knowledge and SkillsDeep expertise in understanding Services business models and developing new business models a must.5+ years of related Services, Software or Product leadership experience.Experience working with cross-functional leaders and their teams.
